Running
gives us the confidence to try new challenges. The Muddy Buddy is a 'two buddy, one bike' dualthon obstacle race held
in Richmond in July. Two teammates take turns cycling and running five different stages of an obstacle course. The teammates
must crawl through the finishline mud pit together. Pink ballerina costumes are optional.

Give off road running a try! The Mud Run is held every August at Little
Creek NAB in Norfolk. The course takes runners through sand, scrub pine groves, into the ocean, through mud pits and over
walls. The post race party is primo!
Laura Cvitanovich is the owner
of Happy Pace Races LLC. She resides in Newport News with her husband Dave, who recently retired from 25 years in the US Navy,
and her two children, Leo and Emma. When she isn't running, working or driving her kids to swim practice, she tries
very hard to remember that the journey should be just as enjoyable as the destination.
